The educational qualification of the candidate for the first level in REET Recruitment 2024 should be as follows:
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition, Norms and Procedure) Regulation, 2002.
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
- Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in the final year of the 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
- Graduation and two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) passed.

The exam pattern of REET Recruitment 2024 has been released. Candidates who have done 12th class and D.El.Ed will appear for Level 1 exam. REET Level I teachers are eligible to teach students from class one to class five in schools.
Candidates who have done Graduation and B.Ed or 4 year BA B.Ed or B.Sc B.Ed will appear for Level II. REET Level II teachers are eligible to teach from class 6 to class VIII. There will be a total of 150 questions in REET paper exam. This paper will be of 150 marks. Each question will carry one mark and there is no negative marking in the exam.
